A massive line of storms making its way across Alberta to southern Saskatchewan has led to the postponement of Thursday's Miller Express game.

MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM --  The Moose Jaw Miller Express game with the Swift Current 57’s at Ross Wells Park on Thursday night has been postponed.

The team took the rare step of making the announcement on Facebook in the mid-afternoon well before game time, and one glance at the Environment Canada weather radar showed exactly why.

A line of heavy thunderstorms is currently making its way from Alberta into Saskatchewan, with current projections expecting the storms to hit Moose Jaw around 6 p.m., bringing steady rainfall to the area.

The Weather Network had a 100 percent chance of rain from 6 p.m. through 8 p.m., with a risk of thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening.

The game will be rescheduled for July 5 when Moose Jaw and Swift Current will play a doubleheader at Ross Wells Park.

Next action for the Miller Express is Saturday night when they travel to Regina. Next home action is Canada Day Monday when the Edmonton Prospects make their first visit to Moose Jaw for a two-game set.

First pitch both nights is 7:05 p.m. at Ross Wells.
