MOOSE JAW — A Moose Jaw doctor is helping launch a first-of-its-kind community health initiative in Canada’s Most Notorious City and is committing $100 million to ensure the project succeeds.

Dr. Dayan Goodenowe, a biochemist, neuroscientist and health-care innovator whose research focuses on reversing the effects of autism, announced that The Moose Jaw Vitality Project (MVP) will offer patients in the area no-cost access to modern restorative health services and advanced health-monitoring technology.

This initiative will evaluate how proactive health interventions affect overall well-being and health-care costs.

“By removing financial barriers and empowering residents with the knowledge and tools to restore their health, we aim to build a parallel, restorative and perpetual care model that complements traditional medicine,” Dr. Goodenowe said in a news release.

Goodenowe is pursuing this project through Prodrome Science, a company he founded more than two decades ago that focuses on preventative medicine.

Through this company, he opened Prodrome Health Centre at 1350 Lakeview Road in May 2019, the company’s first outreach centre that offers a preventative outlook and gives people information to improve their short- and long-term health.

According to Prodrome Science’s website, prodrome provides an early signal or subtle warning sign of a future condition or shift in health. Within the company, prodrome is the science of detecting deviations from optimal health using advanced metabolomics to identify and correct biochemical imbalances —long before symptoms appear — to optimize brain function, resilience, and longevity.

USA Today recently named Prodrome Solutions — the parent company — as one of the most innovative companies to watch in 2025.

“Prodrome Solutions develops biochemical restoration products focused on health improvement,” the news article said. “Founded by neuroscientist and biochemist Dr. Dayan Goodenowe, the company creates patented supplements and diagnostic tools designed to support brain function and address conditions like Alzheimer’s, ALS, and multiple sclerosis.

“More than 3,000 physicians are using its products and educational programs in their practice,” the article added. “Its proprietary plasmogen supplements are designed to address biochemical deficiencies and support cognitive health.”

According to the release, the MVP is Goodenowe’s “most ambitious project yet” since it builds health by combining advanced technology with hands-on community engagement “to make real and measurable differences” in people’s everyday lives.

The initiative has already started and should be fully open to the public later this year.

Meanwhile, Goodenowe has already “acquired and validated advanced biochemical health monitoring and imaging equipment and technology such as 7T ion cyclotron mass spectrometry and 3T functional” magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), the release said. He expects other technology, such as cardiac ultrasound machines, to arrive soon.

The physician has acquired five venues in Moose Jaw for this project and they are either now open or under construction. Those venues include:

  • The Community Health Information Centre at the Town ‘n’ Country Mall (open)
  • Engage Café at the mall (open)
  • The Restorative Health Centre at 1350 Lakeview Road, a venue that is over 18,000 square feet in size on 10 acres of land that provides in-person support and consultations (open)
  • Community Research Centre at 1400 Lakeview Road, a 15,000-square-foot venue for clinical and epidemiological studies (under construction)
  • Chemistry and manufacturing plant at 30 Mackenzie Lane is a 10,000-square-foot venue that will produce advanced nutrition products for local and worldwide distribution (under construction)

MVP resources will be available for free for residents who enrol; so far, more than 50 people have received full program support at no cost, the release added. Also, more than 50 employees are helping lay the groundwork to scale services throughout the community.
