Bryce Aikens had a first-period hat trick and Marc Belanger also scored three goals as the Warriors rolled to a 10-1 victory over the Notre Dame Hounds in Wilcox.
The win was as commanding as a local U15 squad has seen in awhile, and saw the Warriors dominate right from the get-go, pouring 28 shots on goal in the first period alone and outshooting Notre Dame 58-23 in total.
Bryce Boughen also had an impressive game with two goals and three assists, while Tayden Hardwicke and Noah Thul had their other markers. Belanger also tacked on two helpers, Paul Barth, Chance Cole and Aiden McDonald had two assists each.
The Warriors led 3-1 after the first and 6-1 through two periods.
Casson Silbernagel got the start in goal and made 22 saves to earn the win.
The two teams were scheduled to rematch on Sunday at the Bert Hunt, but that contest was cancelled due to the blizzard. Next action for the Warriors will be Saturday, Nov. 14 when they travel to Regina to face the Aces. Next home action is Nov. 15 when they host the Aces (2:45 p.m., Bert Hunt).
