KINDERSLEY -- With the spectre of a massive tiebreaker jam potentially looming over the Viterra Prairie Pinnacle women’s provincial curling championship, Ashley Thevenot went out and made sure things were as clean as possible.
Thevenot and her Saskatoon Nutana foursome of third Brittany Tran, second Taylor Stremick and lead Kaylin Skinner took a 9-6 win over Balgonie’s Mandy Selzer to finish the round robin with a 5-3 record, claiming the fourth and final Page Playoff berth.
As a result, Regina’s Jolene Campbell will take on Saskatoon’s Nancy Martin in the Page 1-2 game, while Moose Jaw’s Penny Barker will do battle with Thevenot in the Page 3-4 contest, with that draw taking place at 7 p.m.
Martin and her rink of third Chaelynn Kitz, second Kadriana Lott and lead Deanna Doig picked up an 11-4 eight-end win over Barker, third Lindsay Bertsch, second Taryn Schachtel and lead Danielle Sicinski to close out their round robin.
Campbell, third Rachel Erickson, second Abby Ackland and lead Dayna Demmans took their first loss in the final draw, falling 9-8 in an extra end to Saskatoon’s Jessica McCartney.
The other contest Saturday morning saw Regina’s Brooklyn Stevenson take an 8-5 win over Regina’s Michelle Englot.
Standings after the round robin are as follows:

Penny Barker 5-3
Ashley Thevenot 5-3
Michelle Englot 3-5
