Saskatchewan residents planning to travel internationally can now gain a third COVID-19 shot to help meet the vaccinations requirements of other countries.

Some countries require proof of vaccination with specific vaccines. The most common requirement is two doses of the same mRNA vaccine, such as Pfizer or Moderna.

Residents who received a combination of AstraZeneca, Pfizer or Moderna can receive a third dose of vaccine to match their last vaccine brand, as long as their last vaccination was Pfizer or Moderna.

Individuals who received two doses of Covishield or AstraZeneca are able to complete a schedule to support international travel requirements with two additional matching mRNA vaccines such as Pfizer or Moderna.

Travellers should research the vaccines approved by their destination.

Please note that you do not need to provide proof that you intend to travel in order to receive the vaccine. Appointments can be booked at pharmacies offering vaccinations or at pop-up clinics, as they are available.
