It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jay Barron, of Regina, in his 50th year, on January 18, 2025. Jay was much loved and is forever missed by his father Neil (Sheila) Barron; mother Mary Catherine (the late Brian) Cook; daughter Ashley Powell; son Mathew Barron; granddaughters Evelyn and Ayla; sister Candice Barron; brothers David Cook and Michael Barron; as well as his nieces and nephew. He’ll be missed by his constant companion of many years, Koda; his pup that never left his side.
Jay had a huge heart when it came to his family and loved them fiercely. He felt their pain in times of sorrow and would do anything to help. He was happiest when outdoors, whether fishing, hunting or just relaxing. Jay especially enjoyed the hunt camp in Northern Saskatchewan, the mountains in Banff, and all the back roads of Ottawa Valley. Jay could spot an eagle high in the sky or a mountain goat on a high ridge long before anyone else could see them.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. To celebrate Jay’s life, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. In living memory of Jay, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
