BUCK Born to Otto and Anna Buck in July of 1936, Frederick Buck grew up in Mazenod, SK before the family moved to their current farm near Mortlach, SK.  Fred was baptized into the Christian faith in August of 1936.  Fred met and married Doreen Buck (nee Basler) in 1959 and together they farmed in the Mortlach/Lake Valley community for the next 40 years.  Fred was predeceased by his wife Doreen and survived by his children David (Karen) Buck, Douglas (Lynn) Buck and Rod (Rhonda) Buck, his grandchildren Kevin and Bryan Buck, Michelle and Sean Buck, Kai (Melissa) Buck, Jensen Buck, Liam Buck and Connor (Bethany) Buck and his great granddaughter Freya Buck.  Fred remained an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church (Moose Jaw) with a strong and vibrant confession of faith in Jesus Christ.  When Fred’s body finally gave out in the early hours of October 7th His Lord was there to gather him into His arms and take him home just as He had promised.  This sure and certain hope was lived out by Fred and passed to his three sons, his grandchildren and great grandchild who look forward to the day that they will see him again in the day of the resurrection. A Funeral Service for Fred will be held on Saturday, October 12th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Drive, Moose Jaw, SK. Reverend Pastor John Kreutzwieser will officiate. Private family interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
