JOY LORRAINE HUTCHINSON
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mom, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma Joy Hutchinson on Friday March 14, 2025, at the age of 92 years.
Mom was born December 15, 1932, to Tom and Sulina. Mom grew up on the family farm with her three brothers. Following her marriage in 1949 she resided in the Crestwynd area during which time her five daughters were born. She eventually moved to Moose Jaw where she resided for the rest of her life. Mom always remained a farm girl at heart.
Mom lived in her home for almost 50 years where she maintained a beautiful yard and bountiful garden which she generously shared with family. She hosted many family gatherings at her home as well.
Mom took many cruises with Allan and later with her brother Max. She travelled to many places in Canada, USA and Mexico.
In 2019 Mom moved to the Mulberry Estates where she resided for more than five years and in December 2024, she moved to Moose Jaw Special Care Home until her passing.
Mom is predeceased by her parents; brothers Harold (Phyllis) Sanderson, Lloyd (Jean) Sanderson, Max (Anne) Sanderson; husband Allan Hutchinson; father of her children George Way; daughter Sandra Maginley; sons-in-law Nick Koshman and John Morhart as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Mom will be sadly missed by her daughters Doris (Cliff) Dunlop, Brenda (John) Robinson, Pat Short, Muriel Morhart and son in law Brian Maginley; grandchildren Curtis Maginley, Stacey (Rob) Higgs, Lee Short, Daniel Short, Courtney (Lonnie Lepitzki) Fontain, Jason Dunlop, Krysta (Todd) Szilagyi, Nathan (Josanna) Robinson, Jennifer (Adam) Campbell, Tatyana (Taylor McConnell), Jeff (Leah) Hirst and Stephen (Jill Garnier) Brownell; great-grandchildren Adrienne (Dave) Jordison, Brett Mapes, Ireland and Kai Short, Tayah Robinson, Oliver and Abigail Campbell, Talia Joorisity-McConnell, Logan, Hailey and Kaleb Fontain, Cabrie and Karlin Szilagyi, Charlotte and Sophia Hirst; great-great-grandchildren Everly and Aubrey Jordison.
Now she walks with the Angels.
A private family service will be held. Mom will be interred at Sunset Cemetery.
