It is with extreme sadness that the family of Frances MARY Keith (Wilkins) announce her passing. 

Mary was born March 4, 1923 to PL Wilkins and Merle (Birchard) Wilkins and passed away on January 28, 2019 with family at her side. Predeceased by her loving husband John, father P L Wilkins, mother Merle, step- mother Gertie (Wilkins) Robertson, brother Richard (Dick) Wilkins, nephew Hugh Wilkins, cousins, aunts and uncles. Survived by: Daughters: Margaret (Paul) Ripley of Medicine Hat: their children Janis (Bob) Nichols of Medicine Hat, JC (Vanessa) of Saskatoon, Tanya (Sheldon) Vetter of Singapore;  Patricia (Lance) Deagle of Moose Jaw: Pat’s  children: Angela (Kelly) Caragata of Moose Jaw, Bradley Kennedy of Regina; Son:  Robert of the Buttress District, his son Daniel; Lance’s Daughters: Kim (Ashley) Large of Medicine Hat, Michelle (Duane) Doell of Chaplin.  Also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Jessica and Kimberly Daly, Sarah and Symone Ripley, Spencer and Paul Vetter, Ella Nichols and Dylan Mack; nine step-great-grandchildren: Cheyenne and Joey Caragata, Kennedy and Adam Nichols, Jora, Jack and Kesler Doell, Ben and Sam Large; two step-great-great-grandchildren Ella and Ezekiel Sweeney, as well as cousins on the Wilkins and Birchard side, good friends Alice Anthony and Bert Hunt, many other friends and family.

Mom attended Red Lake School, Academy of Sion (now Vanier), and military training in Regina and was stationed in Trenton and Ottawa from 1942 (3) to 1946.  Mom was in the Air Force during WWII and was discharged in 1946.  She then went to work at Eaton’s Department Store and on November 11, 1947 Mom married her lifelong love, John; they were married 47 years.   Mom was active in the Cancer Society, Sunday School Superintendent at Minto United Church, Secretary of Presbytery, Square Danced for over 30 years, crocheted numerous shawls, doilies, afghans.  Thank you to the Staff of Chateau St. Michaels for the many years of care given to Mom.  

Thank you to Dr. Geyer and Dr. Rodwan as well as a big thank you to the nursing staff on the Surgical Unit who cared for Mom with such dignity and respect. A big thank you to Della Ferguson for her visits to the hospital and to Bert Hunt for his visits and care of Mom. Donations in Mom’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the CNIB. The Funeral Service will be held at W. J. Jones Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 1:00PM. Della Ferguson will officiate.  Royal Canadian Legion Funeral Rites will be conducted by Sharon Erickson.   Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
