Thomas (Tom) Wagner age 83 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away on Monday, July 15th, 2024, with family by his side. Tom was born in Coronach, SK and raised in Rockglen, SK, later settling down in Moose Jaw. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Mary (née: Weisgerber); and sibling, Sr. Lorraine Wagner. Tom is survived by his siblings: Caroline Bellrose, Wayne Wagner, and Marie (Larry) Harding; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom took pride in being part of the brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 555 where he spent his last working years at Kalium Potash Plant. He would share stories of his career with the staff at Providence Place during his time there. Tom was an avid sports guy and played a lot of sports in his youth, in particular baseball, hockey and curling; and thus, was fondly nicknamed “Honus Wagner” by his friends. He continued to curl, play darts, and played on a slo-pitch team for a number of seasons in his adult years. He enjoyed watching the Riders and the Blue Jays games and could often be found solving another puzzle in his stack of crossword and sudoku books on his table. Tom was a long-time member of the Eagles Club, where he was always up for a competitive game of darts. He enjoyed gardening and especially being a generous uncle to all his nieces and nephews where he was sure to have a stash of treats on hand for their visits.

A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of God Campus, 401 Trinity Lane, Moose Jaw, SK. Cheryl Thul will officiate and a private family interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
