Marianne Margaret Weber 1952-2025
Marianne lived most of her life in her birthplace of Moose Jaw, SK. She touched the lives of many people who have collectively described her as a kind, caring, patient, creative, strong, great woman and stellar human being. Before her illness limited her ability to work, Marianne taught elementary school and later went on to teach her own preschool group at home. She also mentored a young girl named Emmy Barr. They became very close and when Emmy formed her own business, The Queen of Caramel, Marianne became part of that endeavour spending countless hours cutting cellophane, wrapping caramel and printing labels. She brought compassion, tenderness and unconditional love to her roles as a sister, a wife and eventually, a mother. As a musician and artist, she was able showcase her creativity and imagination. In recent years, watercolour painting and scrapbooking were her main activities, except for trips to Starbucks where she was always greeted warmly by the baristas. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Chris; daughter Julianne; brother Bob; as well as her surviving relatives and friends and anyone else who ever had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of her life will take place this summer at her home in Moose Jaw. In living memory of Marianne, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd.
