There are three new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 601.
There are 199 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 30, 2021.
The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (62), North West (32), North Central (22), Far North East (14), North East (14), Far North West (8), Regina (8), South East (8), Central West (4), Far North Central (3). Central East (3), South Central (2), and South West (2).
One of the two new cases in the South Central is located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.
Seventeen cases are pending residence information.
About two-fifths (40.2 per cent) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 years age category.
About one in eight (13.6 per cent) new cases was fully vaccinated.
Five previously reported cases with pending location were assigned to the North West zone.
Two cases were Saskatchewan residents tested out of province and added to the cases totals for Saskatoon.
There are now 54,076 reported cases, including 2,068 active cases.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 228 (19.0 new cases per 100,000).
A total of 12,451 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,835), Saskatoon (2,190), South East (1,158), South Central (894), North West (883), North Central (667), Central East (654), South West (416), Far North West (339), Central West (150), Far North East (99), North East (86), and Far North Central (4). There are 76 screened VOCs with residence pending.
An additional 1,173 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,475,692.

There are 111 people in hospital. Eighty-four people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (38), North Central (20), Regina (14), North West (6), Far North West (2), North East (2), South Central (1), and South East (1). Twenty-seven people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (15), Regina (6), North Central (5), and South Central (1).
Of the 111 patients, 80 (72.1 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.
One hundred and ninety-five more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 51,407 recoveries.
There were 2,123 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,022,156 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
